Join CRFG!

CRFG welcomes anybody who is interested in growing fruit.

While many of our events are open to the public, membership opens up a world of fruit-growing resources!

So….when our meetings are open to the public, why join the Arizona Chapter?  Well, holy bananas, there’s a bunch of reasons.

And, yes — you CAN grow bananas in the desert! Delicious ones, in fact.

Being a member gives you:

  • A subscription to the FRUIT GARDENER Magazine every 2 months

  • Monthly meetings and events (some are members-only events)
  • Qualified to sell plants and supplies at our Spring and Fall plant sale events, or at meetings.
  • Group buy discounts on plant materials and supplies
  • A great network of people who have the same interests as you
  • A resource for your garden issues and concerns

Our meetings are held monthly – generally on the 2nd Thursday night of each month. There are some exceptions – our Scion Exchange is held every January on a Saturday morning. And, during months when we hold one of our biannual plant sales, we do not have a general meeting (usually April and November).

Certainly, the highlight of the California Rare Fruit Growers’ year is our annual scion exchange in January.  While the grafting demonstrations are open to the public, priority access to some scion wood goes to members.

If we have a field trip or a garden tour, these are limited to registered members only.  For insurance reasons, and since these are often to private homes (where we get for example to see how our fellow fruit growers are fitting 150 trees into a regular city lot), we must restrict them to our members only.  Note that the details of field trips are restricted to our Members-Only mailing list.

Please note that you must be a member of our parent organization in order to be a recognized member of this, or any other, chapter.  If you are not already a member of crfg.org or do not join speedily, your chapter membership will be voided.

You can join our national organization by clicking here.   Membership for both chapter and national is assumed to be a family membership.

If you are not comfortable with PayPal, please register nonetheless but chose the Manual option.  You should receive an email telling you where to mail your check. If you don’t, please Contact Us.
