The Arizona Chapter meets at 7:00 PM the second Thursday of every month. A typical meeting may include a speaker (either a guest or a club specialist), as well as members sharing fruit and fruit produce, seeds, home propagated plants, and personal experience and expertise in budding and grafting. There may also be a club plant raffle or auction!

All meetings are held at the Valley Garden Center – 1809 N 15th Ave, Phoenix, Arizona 85007.

5.14.26 - May meeting: "So Many Mulberries!"

POP QUIZ: Can you name twenty different mulberry varieties? thirty? How about forty?
Our speaker this May is growing SEVENTY different varieties of mulberries in his backyard!! Imagine what a paradise his yard is right now during mulberry fruiting season!
Doug Jones will guide us through how his collection has grown, and share his many tips for creating a mulberry nirvana in his flood-irrigated property. Luckily, this fruit adores our climate, and mulberry trees respond well to regular watering with drip systems, as well.
Keep you fingers crossed that the harvest season lasts into mid-May so that we might enjoy a bit of mulberry tasting after the presentation.
